MY STORY...

Hello and Welcome,

My name is Cathleen Alyce and this is a little bit about me and my VINTAGE HOME lifestyle. My blog and business have evolved and changed over the years, as I am sure many do. I have always dreamed of owning a vintage farmhouse in the country and living with farm animals, gardens and room for all of my family, all though I do believe dreams come true, now I create that feel and style where ever life takes me. I love to be able to share this feeling with others and help them to create the Farmhouse Country Style no matter where we live. Creating the Farmhouse Style without the Farmhouse!

In 1989 I first started selling my romantic handcrafted rose filled dried floral designs at Festivals and Craft Shows. Tired of traveling and being away from home and family; I soon opened a Shoppe in my hometown in the Northern California Gold Country designing, building and selling Country Primitive Reproduction furniture, decor and gifts.

Along the way I discovered and fell in love with the Shabby Chic Style when Rachel Ashwell came out with her first book in 1996. It was a natural for me...I then developed my own Chic French Farmhouse Style and VINTAGE HOME lifestyle was born...it is all about rescuing remnants and furnishings of the past and present to enrich and embellish my surroundings! Through the years; I have also offered my re-purposed and refurbished as found finds in Shoppes, Antique & Craft shows. 

Now I am excited to be working on opening my online Web Shoppe...
