My VINTAGE HOME lifestyle...

I want to welcome in the new year with a bit of a new twist on my blog. Writing is not one of my best points...I am a very visual type person...
so please bare with me.

In the past my blog has mainly been all about my business "VINTAGE HOME lifestyle"...with bits here and there about my personal life. As many of you know I closed my Antique Faire/Barn Sale business last year. Although I still have my online business...the change has been difficult. But I guess if change was easy we would always be the same and that would be pretty boring. I miss the one-on-one contact with customers and I am sure someday I will have some sort of that again...it is in my blood.
I also miss all the contacts and friends that I have made over the years through my blog. We are all so very lucky to have this network that we can use to reach out to each other across the miles.

I chose the name of my business "VINTAGE HOME lifestyle" because it is so much a part of who I am...no matter where I live or what I am doing for a living. Creating a Vintage Home lifestyle is what it is all about for me. You don't have to live in a grand old home to create that for yourself. It can be done anywhere...in a modern apartment, studio, mobile home or even a trailer for that matter. It is all about surrounding yourself with vintage items that you love...that creates your very own Vintage Home lifestyle.
I felt I didn't have much to share without my business as it was.
So for this chapter...I look at every new year as a new chapter in the book of my life.
I want to share with you my VINTAGE HOME lifestyle...as it is.

I have such a weakness for old wooden crates. I was given this one by my dear friend Kathy of "EAST SIDE BARN" who has an amazing talent and eye. Kathy and her husband Chris have a space in "CHELSEA ANTIQUES" in downtown Petaluma, Ca. I will be taking you there in another post soon to come. They also take their show on the road to the ALAMEDA Antique Faire every month.
I wasn't sure how to use the crate at first...just knew I loved it! Until, I laid it on its side and thought...of my gosh...a perfect coffee table! I will be adding old castors to it soon. It is open on both ends which makes it great for storage.
THANKS KATHY!
Then there are old aged mercury mirrors and picture frames...another weakness.
You can see my sweet little stinker in the reflection.

I have another vintage mirror leaning in back of this stack of wonderful old books.
This is just a little vignette atop one of my favorite new finds...I will share with you another time.

I have this wonderful vintage dress hanging on the wall for nothing more then decor.
I love the sweetness of it when I look at it.
Vintage Lamps...love them. We can never have to much light in our lives.
Thank you for being a part of my Vintage Home lifestyle. I hope you will keep stopping by...I always love hearing from you.
Big Hugs and Warm Wishes to all...
Cathleen
